Illegal Lending Apps in the Philippines — SEC-Flagged Scam Lender Alerts

Lending apps and platforms that a Philippine regulator has publicly flagged — SEC advisories, cease-and-desist and revocation orders, and NPC takedown orders. Each entry is stated factually and cited to the public record, newest first. Before you borrow, check that a lender is SEC-registered.

This list is cite-to-public-record only. It reproduces what a regulator has published; it is not legal advice and is not a complete list of every illegal lender — only those with a documented regulator action we have logged. Verified corrections: /corrections.

How to check if a lender is SEC-registered

  1. Find the exact corporate name (not just the app name) — check the app-store listing and the app's Terms.
  2. Search the SEC's list of registered lending & financing companies ↗ for that name and its Certificate of Authority.
  3. Cross-check the SEC's cease-and-desist orders ↗ and advisories — if the name appears there, it is flagged.
  4. No Certificate of Authority, or the online lending app isn't disclosed to the SEC (MC No. 19, s. 2019)? It is not authorised to lend.
