Where do I file a complaint against an online lender, a bank, or a data-privacy abuse?

Short answer

Match the complaint to the regulator that supervises the respondent. File against an online lending app or financing/lending company with the SEC โ€” its Financing and Lending Companies Department, through the I-Message Mo portal (imessage.sec.gov.ph) โ€” under SEC MC 18. File against a bank, e-wallet (GCash/Maya), pawnshop, or remittance agent with the BSP Consumer Assistance Mechanism (consumeraffairs@bsp.gov.ph or the BSP Online Buddy). File a data-privacy abuse โ€” contact-list scraping, unauthorized disclosure โ€” with the National Privacy Commission (privacy.gov.ph) under RA 10173. For most abusive-lender situations you file with two of these at once.
